Featuring a large and open wooden deck overlooking El Nido Bay, El Gordo's Seaside Adventure Lodge provides dormitory and private rooms with free Wi-Fi. Kayaks and stand-up paddle boards and a 24-hour reception are available.

Located in a fisherman's village and away from the bustling tourist district, El Gordo's is separated from the rest of the village by a foot bridge and rocky trail. A 2-minute walk from the guest house is the Sitio Tandul Basketball Court. It is a 10-minute walk to El Nido Port and a 15-minute walk to town centre. El Nido Airport is a 30-minute drive away.

Towels and linens are provided. Private rooms each have a large, private, seaside deck, with views of El Nido Bay. All are equipped with aircon, overhead ceiling fans, and tile flooring. Fan-cooled dorm rooms are equipped with a mosquito net and wooden flooring.

The property can help arrange island tour and transportation upon your arrival. Guests can explore the nearby beaches by kayak or stand-up paddle board and relax with a cold drink and snack on the deck after. Shared kitchen facilities and common lounge are available. Guests can also enjoy free coffee, tea, Milo and cookies.

Art Café and many seaside restaurants and bars are some of the dining options located within a 15-minute walk of the guesthouse.

No, there is good laundry service nearby in town.

Yes we have wifi. We recently upgraded to the highest wifi service for this area. We also kept our old service so there are 2 to choose from. It is very safe to walk here. You walk through the small fisherman's village, the locals are very friendly.

IS IT FAR FROM PUERTO PRINCESA AIRPORT?

5-6 hours by van or bus, 500 pesos. You csn also fly direct to elnido via airswift. Gordon

Friendly staff, beautiful views of the harbor, and clean facilities.

Hard to find as Google directions end at the local basketball court and you need to weave between houses to reach the property without signage directing you.

Gordo and Christina were amazing hosts! Super friendly and always willing to give suggestions on the best things to do in El Nido.

Location was a little hard to get to but interesting as it’s in a little local village so definitely different.

very cheap and convenient to stay there, Gordo and his Cristina are the best, very friendly and lovely people!

wasn’t super clean but was still okay. it’s located in a local neighbourhood which means do not expect comfort. Although I love staying in places like these, if I were alone at night I would feel a bit uncomfortable walking home by myself and you have to as it cannot be reached with a Tuktuk. this is just my impression but I have to say it

A unique experience in the real El Nido

We loved the location. It is a ten minute walk from the main tourist 'strip', and a great insight into real and local life in El Nido. It is a very unique location, nested in between the rocks and right on the sea. Unique, beautiful and surrounded by extremely friendly locals who were always asking us how we were and eager to help by pointing us in the right direction. We felt completely safe. We loved the hosts. Gordon and Christina are extremely welcoming, interesting and special people. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was always clean. Two of us were working remotely and the WIFI worked smoothly the whole time.

No AC, but plenty of fans in the dorm to make up for it.

Wonderful

I felt very well looked after, they booked my Island trip and transport for me and were very helpful with all my questions. Quite liked that it was a bit outside from the touristy area within the local community, but still in easy walking distance to get dinner/go out. Also enjoyed the breakfast, reasonably priced, decent portions and tastes great.

There were some power cuts in the area, so the room did get a bit hot without the fans running.

Wonderful

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast! The way to the hostel will lead you through a very local area with very friendly people. Also a spot to meet young travelers.

Neighborhood can be noisy at night due to dogs and roosters. But that's just normal in the Philippines.

The bed was comfortable, owners and staff were friendly and helpful, and it was really quiet here at night compared to other places in El Nido. It was good being at a walking distance to the town while being in a more peaceful setting. Private room had good space and a balcony with a lovely ocean view.

Great quiet stay

The location just outside the city is amazingly quiet and still easy to reach. The neighborhood is really characteristic and, i didn't met the owners, but the staff has been super nice.

Superb stay,

Lovely staff and always happy to help with any questions or problems you may have Lovely views - back in the UK now but i could stare at the view from the second landing and be happy all day Amazing location, not far from the main hub but a great area where the local community live, super friendly, polite and a lovely experience i will cherish. Room was nice and well equipped with accessible plugs and a nice bathroom Free tea and coffee Lovely area to lounge and chat with other travellers Overall really great, if your in el nido, go and stay at el gordos and you wont regret it, thank me later.

Very good

Staff, clean beds, quiet place, location and good price.

No air-conditioning and it can get very hot. Toilets/shower rooms are almost inside the dorm, so when someone uses the bathrooms late at night everyone in the dorm can hear.

Great experience

Good price. Location is on the edge of the sea so you can see and hear the waves. The owners are really friendly and helpful. They helped me a out a couple of times with medical supplies, rice for my waterlogged phone and general advice about what to do and not to do in the area. It felt like a very communal atmosphere.

It is a little out of the way-I got lost a few times. The internet and electricity were both a bit spotty in the area...not really the owners' fault I suppose.

Kindest hosts you’ll meet!

The friendliest staff I’ve ever met; kinda feel like they were my parents! You can book all the island hopping tours, boat to Coron, van to Puerto Princesa etc with their help. The location is amazing, 10 mins away from the busy and touristy streets of El Nido, it’s really nice to be around locals. Breakfast is 10/10, I mean everything is just so delicious!! free coffee and water also available

Honestly I think this place is just a true gem. If you want to experience El Nido around kind local people and have the best breakfast in town, this is the place to be. it can get slightly hot in the nights, but the rooms have fans which helps :)

I really loved the vibe of the place!! Christina and Gordon are super lovely and helpful hosts. The guesthouse is located in the local community a bit outside the city, is quiet and feels more authentic.

I absolutely adore this place ! Gordon and his wife are the perfect hosts. They are extremely welcoming and friendly people that attend to your every needs. They will help you out wether it’s making you ginger tea when you feel a bit ill or take you on a 10km adventure Kayaking and swimming tour ! The “Living room” downstairs has a beautiful sea side view and is perfect for just chilling out, listening to music or conversing with fellow travelers. The complementary coffee and tea which is offered downstairs is just lovely and I can definitely recommend having breakfast at the hostel enjoying the lovely atmosphere and view. Every morning Gordon’s wife wakes up and makes sure the bathrooms are cleaned so the guests feel comfortable and personally makes the breakfast for the guests. Gordon is a fellow adventurer and professional athlete that will gladly partake in your nonsense, wether it’s kayaking all day long and correcting your swimming form or mountain biking through the entire island. This is one of the best hostels ( if not *the* best Hostel) I have stayed so far!

Lovely location, great view from the balcony. A few minutes walk from the centre of El Nido. Set in the heart of the local Philipino community full of smiling happy children. Didn't want to leave.

I really liked this place, have been there twice. The location is good, surrounded by local people and by the sea. Gordon and his wife are really nice and helpful and do a lot for the community. As a traveler, you can also help giving clothes or medecines and they distribute them to the community. I liked the good vibes there and really enjoyed my stay. Thank you!
